Leroy Calvin Cunningham III, 69, passed away suddenly on September 23, 2025, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He was born on June 13, 1956, to Leroy and Lillie Cunningham in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was a faithful servant of the Lord.
His early years were shaped by the vibrant community of Minneapolis, where he began a life marked by quiet strength and enduring family bonds.

He went on to attend Carroll University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree, and holds certification in both Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing. Over the years, he served in several leadership roles within the areas of manufacturing and banking. He also served as a visiting professor to six different HBCU's, as part of the Black Executive Exchange Program. He was an active board member of the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Commission, he was also a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, where he excelled and formed several life-long friendships.

He was an avid sports fan and loved playing golf. At home, he enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking, and any sporting event he could watch. Throughout his life, Leroy maintained a quiet, yet steady presence among those who knew him. His journey from Minnesota to Tennessee reflected a path shaped by resilience and connection; the impact he had on his family and his community endures.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Lillie Cunningham, and sister Cheryl Franklin (Jesse). He is survived and remembered with love by his sisters, Kathy Clark, Tabitha Shelton-Brown (Eric), and nephew Rayshaun Justice.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and peace to those who mourn his passing.

A private family memorial honoring Leroy's life will be held in Ocala, Florida.
