Lester "Mark" Clark, 80, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, in Roseville, CA after a brief illness. He was born on February 5, 1945, in Clovis, NM to Prentice C. Clark and Elda E. (Chapman) Clark.
Mark was a long-time resident of both Sheridan and Lincoln California. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1962. Mark served in the US Army as a combat engineer in Vietnam from 1965 - 1967 and was a Purple Heart recipient. He married Karen Dixon on July 5, 1968, in Reno, NV. They had two daughters and one son. Mark worked at Sunset Moulding Co. Lumber Mill in Live Oak, CA until retiring in 1993. When he was younger, he was a volunteer firefighter for the Sheridan, CA fire department. He worked hard and was always there to help many neighbors, friends and family with anything they needed.
Mark was a loving and supportive son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Mark was a very friendly and down-to-earth person. He always made a point of stopping to talk with anyone he saw each day. Those casual conversations, time spent with friends and family made him very happy. Anytime neighbors, friends or family needed help, he quickly stepped in selflessly. Mark touched the lives of many with kindness, compassion and love.
He is preceded in death by his wife Karen (2011), his parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters and many beloved family members. He is survived by his daughters Krisandra, and Karie, son Mark, granddaughter Katie, sister Martha, sisters-in -law Emily and Edwinna, brothers-in-law Tom, Donny, Ed and Calvin, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family are invited to join us in honoring Mark on Thursday October 23, 2025 at 10:00 am at Sheridan Cemetery located on Ranch House Road in Sheridan, CA. A reception will follow at Lincoln Veteran's Memorial Hall located at 541 5th St. Lincoln, CA
