Linda Sue Clampit Willis was received into the loving arms of her Savior on Friday, November 14, 2025.

She was born July 17, 1946, in Chicago and, at the age of two, was adopted into the loving home of James and Nora Clampit. She grew up in Texas and graduated from Elgin High School in 1964. An accomplished all-state violinist, she also marched with the school band.

Linda earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics from The University of Texas at Austin and began her career as a computer programmer—part of the pioneering generation of women in the field. In 1972 she moved to Atlanta, where she worked for many years as a systems analyst for the City of Atlanta.

Later, following a calling to help others, Linda obtained her Master's degree in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counseling from Georgia State University and served as a counselor for a number of years. She completed her professional life working in reservations at Delta Air Lines.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, James and Nora Clampit; her stepmother, Miriam; and many members of her birth family. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Vasconcelos (Neto); grandchildren Hadassah and David; step-grandchildren Ana (Enzo) and Gabriel (Aoi); brother Bill Clampit (Lauren) of Waelder, Texas; her birth siblings, several of whom she came to know as an adult; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Linda's life will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at StoneBridge Church, 675 Tower Road, Marietta, GA 30060.

Because her father lived with Alzheimer's disease, this cause was deeply meaningful to Linda. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
