Lino Marinilli, age 89, a longtime Quincy resident, died peacefully, Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, in the comfort of his loving family.

Lino was born in Anversa degli Abruzzi, Italy, where he was raised and educated. He immigrated to the United States in September of 1951 and lived in Quincy for over seventy-four years.

He was employed as a precision sheet metal fabricator for the former Industrial Engineering and Machine Company of Braintree. He had twenty-seven years of service before retiring in 1998. Lino previously had worked as a hand stitcher in the shoe industry for the former Native Footware Company in Braintree.

He proudly served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard from 1955-1963.

He enjoyed gardening and was devoted to his family, especially his five cherished grandchildren.

Beloved husband for sixty-two years of Maria F. (D'Antuono) Marinilli.

Devoted father of Linda C. Kristal and her husband Bruce of Cohasset, Joseph D. Marinilli and his wife Grace of Milton.

Loving grandfather of Rebekah and Bella Kristal, Joseph Marinilli and his wife Michelle, Nicholas Marinilli, and the late Catherine Marinilli.

Brother of Vincenza DiCesare of Quincy and uncle of Mary Derbes, Lisa DeMole, and the late Michael DiCesare.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Divine Mercy Parish at Saint Ann's Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy, on Monday, October 27, at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation prior to the Mass at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, from 9 - 10 a.m. Interment, with military honors, at Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

For those who wish, donations in Lino's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
