Loretta Jean Hill, affectionately known as Lori to her loved ones and friends, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at the age of 94. Born Loretta Jean Wesch in San Francisco on December 12, 1930 to John and Anna Wesch, she embraced life with an adventurous heart, a generous spirit, and a strength that was felt by everyone around her.

Lori grew up in Burlingame and was a beauty queen in San Mateo, where her early charm and poise foreshadowed a life of grace and accomplishment. Her college years were in the Chicago area where she graduated from Northwestern University. She moved back to the Bay Area and married her college sweetheart, Thomas Lee Hill, having 3 children and living in Atherton for many years. Later she married Wayne L Prim and they established a home in Atherton, Glenbrook, NV and Indian Wells. For over 40 years, Lori lived at the Vintage Club and was a vital member of the community.

A woman of many passions, Lori found joy in the active pursuits that filled her days. She was an enthusiastic tennis player at the Vintage Club, where her grace on the court mirrored her elegance in life, and she proudly earned the title of club champion. Her competitive spirit and skill also was evident on the golf course. Always social and loving, she enjoyed hosting family members and friends.

Above all, Lori's life was a testament to her boundless love for family. She traveled the world, collecting memories from far-flung destinations that enriched her stories and broadened her horizons, all while living a long, vibrant life that spanned nearly a century. Through it all, she provided unwavering support for her children and grandchildren, ensuring they had the foundation to thrive. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her legacy of care and provision will endure in the hearts of those she nurtured.

Lori is survived by her devoted son, Tom Hill (Pacific Palisades,CA); her loving daughter, Darlene Fairbank (Zephyr Cove, NV), and her husband David; along with her grandchildren—Chris Fertal and his wife Jaqueline, Andy Hill, Tyler Fairbank and his wife Savannah, Trevor Fairbank and his wife Lauren—who brought her immense pride and joy. She was predeceased by her oldest daughter, Bonnie Ann Hill (Carmel,CA). Lori will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her adventurous soul, and the profound love she shared so freely. Though her absence leaves an irreplaceable void, the light of her life continues to shine brightly in the lives she touched.
