Lorraine "Lori" Cash, 85, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, in Davenport, Florida. Born on December 3, 1939, in Littleton, New Hampshire, she lived a vibrant and full life marked by dedication to her work, deep family connections, and an infectious zest for life.
Lori was the daughter of Theodore and Eva Ledoux and grew up surrounded by a large and lively family. Over the years, she built a legacy of warmth and resilience that touched everyone who knew her.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Alvin Cash, her son Gary Frank; who is survived by his wife Cindy; her grandson David C Gaffney, and her parents Theodore and Eva Ledoux. She also mourned the loss of her brothers Theodore Ledoux Jr., Reginald Ledoux, Richard Ledoux, and Leon Begin.
Professionally, Lori found great pride in her career with State Farm Insurance. For 25 years, she worked for R.B. Swain and became affectionately known as “the insurance lady” to countless clients who came to rely on her expertise and friendly demeanor. Her dedication and professionalism left a lasting impression on all who worked with her.
After retiring from State Farm, Lori embraced a new chapter alongside Al Cash—the love of her life—by working at the Earthquake attraction at Universal Studios Orlando. Together they brought joy to visitors from around the world while sharing their own joy in each other’s company.
Lori's energy extended far beyond the workplace. She was an avid golfer and bowler who also loved square dancing, going on cruises, playing darts and cards, and enjoying pool volleyball. Whether on land or at sea, Lori brought enthusiasm and laughter wherever she went. She was truly the life of the party and a force to be reckoned with who never met a stranger.
She is survived by her devoted daughter Deborah Anderson (Gary), sister Sandra Williams, brother Barry Ledoux (Portia), and brother Richard Begin (Sallie). Lori also held close in her heart the beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of Al Cash. Her legacy continues through four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren—each one a testament to the enduring love she shared with those around her. Also survived by Ashley Martinez; caregiver and bonus granddaughter.
