Lynn Marie Nuse

Lynn Marie Nuse (Ekey) of Utica, Michigan, passed away peacefully in her family home on September 27th, at the age of 67. Lynn was born September 13, 1958, to James and Ellen Jane Ekey in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from St. Ursula Academy in 1976 and married William "Bill" Nuse in 1980.

Lynn loved being a mother to her four children and "nana" to her grandchildren, who brought an abundance of happiness to her life. She cherished the more than two decades she spent working for House of Optical in Clawson, Michigan. Many lifelong friendships were formed throughout her school years, career, motherhood, and while enjoying hobbies, including crafting, gardening, and reading.

She is survived by her husband, William ("Bill") Nuse II; children, Jennifer (Mike) Smith, Billy (Pam) Nuse, Jimmy (Danielle) Nuse, and Nick Nuse; siblings, Mark (Norma) Ekey, Laura (Curt) Creamer, and Matthew (Chris) Ekey; grandchildren, Macie, Aubry, Eli, and Liam; and beloved family pets, Sadie, Chloe, and Teddy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ellen Jane Ekey; in-laws, William and Lou Nuse; and many special four-legged companions over the years, including Cody, Remi, Duke, Hailey, O'Malley, Zoey, Sid, Buster, Bruce, Buddy, Taffy, and Pudgie.

A celebration of Lynn's life will be held in the Summer of 2026 at her home, where family and friends will gather, surrounded by her beautiful garden, to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Michigan, Connecting Champions, or Michigan Humane Society.
