It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lynn Marie Sharpee (née Kuhn) on October 20, 2025. Lynn’s kindness, grace, and love carried her through every chapter of her 78 years, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Born on January 16, 1947, in Stanley, Wisconsin, Lynn was the eldest of six children born to Wilman and Elaine Kuhn. Growing up in the close-knit community of Stanley, she learned early the value of family, hard work, and kindness. After graduating from Stanley-Boyd High School in 1965, she pursued her passion for caring for others by attending nursing school in Marshfield, WI.

Lynn began her nursing career in the hospital setting, but her life took a new and joyful turn when she met the love of her life, Jack Sharpee. His big personality and romantic gestures swept her right off her feet. They married on May 29, 1971, and shared a deep and devoted love for over fifty years until Jack’s passing.

Lynn and Jack moved to Palatine, Illinois, where they raised their three children and built a home filled with laughter, warmth, and unconditional love. In the early 2000s, they found their winter haven in The Villages, Florida, where they enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends, and the endless entertainment in the town squares.

Lynn had many joys in life. She was an avid golfer, reader, and crossword puzzle solver. She was a fan of reality TV shows and loved to listen to today's pop music. She was also deeply interested in genealogy, recently helping a cousin who is writing a book about their family's history. But more than anything, Lynn was happiest when surrounded by family. She was the heart of the Sharpee family. She was the one her children turned to for advice, comfort, or simply a listening ear. Her warmth, empathy, and unwavering support made her everyone’s safe place.

She will be remembered for her kind spirit, selfless love, and a sweet tooth that matched her sweet nature. Her pride in her children and grandchildren was boundless, and she was overjoyed to know that her first great-grandchild is expected in April 2026.

Lynn is survived by her three beloved children: Amy Vastine (husband Jerry), Andrew Sharpee (wife Kerry), and Adam Sharpee (wife Meredith); and by her cherished grandchildren: Jacob Vastine (wife Lauren), Alyssa Vastine, Ryan Vastine, Will Sharpee, Jackson Sharpee, Elliotte Sharpee, Lauren Sharpee, and Weston Sharpee. She is also survived by four of her siblings and many nieces and nephews.

She joins in eternal rest her husband Jack, her parents Wilman and Elaine, her brother Tom, and other loved ones who have gone before her. Her family finds comfort in knowing that Jack has been patiently waiting for her in heaven and that they are now together again.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 12–3 PM at her home in The Villages, Florida. A private interment and family gathering will be planned for a later date.

Lynn’s family will miss her immensely and cannot imagine the world without her, but they are forever grateful for the love, laughter, and beautiful memories she gave them.
