On August 22, 2025 Malcolm (Mac) Francis Spicer, JR. passed away at his home in Rotunda West, FL. Born on July 22, 1947 in Hampstead, MD the 2nd of 2 children born to Malcolm & Betty Spicer. He was a deeply loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother.
After graduating from Hereford High School in 1965, Mac enrolled in the University of Maryland and shortly after the University of Maryland School of Law. He was a law clerk for the Honorable Mitchel Jennifer and later became the County Attorney for Baltimore County appointed by the Honorable Don Hutchinson. His career continued to advance working at his own private law firm, Brooks and Spicer, and then he decided to return to county work accepting a position in the county attorney's office of Montgomery County. After wrapping up a well achieved career, Mac enjoyed retirement in Florida where he could golf, swim, and fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Rebecca Elizabeth Spicer, and his stepmother Ursula Edith Woite Spicer. He is survived by his wife Norma Jean Spicer, his three daughters, Amanda Armacost Spicer, Samantha Spicer McIntire, and Brooke Spicer Blakely, and his 5 grandchildren, Walker Reed Hastings, John Gavin McIntire, Harper Elizabeth Hastings, Quinn Reed Blakely, and Teagan Francis Blakely.
