Margaret "Peggy" Mary Variot

Margaret (Peggy) Mary Variot, age 80 of New Hudson Michigan, passed away on
October 1, 2025, peacefully with family at home.

Peggy was born on December 1, 1944, in Detroit, the daughter of Edward and Margaret Laura. She had 6 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, William (Bill); her children Lisa, Rick (Maryjo) and Suzanne (Chris); her grandchildren, Ronnie, Sammy, Nicole, Jordan and Kaitlyn.
Peggy worked as a waitress and then worked at JC Penney for many years before retiring.
Bill and Peggy, with their kids and friends, would spend many years at Houghton Lake, MI and then became snowbirds, enjoying spending winters in Fort Walton Beach until Peggy got too sick to travel anymore.
Peggy enjoyed golfing, spending time with friends and playing cards. At the Northville Moose she became “Poker Peg” as she loved to play cards there.
Although in the end, Peggy couldn’t talk she always had a smile on her face when her children, grandchildren, friends or Sister Dianne with Walt would come to visit her.
The family would like to thank Open Arms Hospice and Palliative Care of Novi for the wonderful care they provided for Peggy, giving her the best quality of life and treating her as if she was their own mother.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church, 24505 Meadowbrook Rd, Novi, MI 48375 on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. A celebration of Life luncheon will be held from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm immediately following the funeral mass at the Northville Moose, 18418 Northville Rd., Northville MI 48168
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Open Arms Hospice and Palliative Care, 39500 W. Ten Mile Road, Suite 101A, Novi, MI 48375, in memory of Peggy Variot.
