Maria Isabel or Chavela as everyone knew her, was a pillar of the community. Her selfless dedication to the Concepcion Civic Center, where she volunteered and assisted with events, will be fondly remembered.
She took immense pride in serving as the Civic Center's Valentine Queen for multiple years. In her leisure time, Chavela loved playing Bingo, Chalupa, cards and enjoyed the horse races. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she is cherished for her vibrant spirit, generous laughter, and of course we all know she definitely wasn't afraid to speak her mind and would tell you how it was. Chavela's presence will be greatly missed.
