Mark Pelletier Sr, 67, of Andover, Massachusetts, a loving husband, father, son and grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 17th, surrounded by family.
He was predeceased by his beloved son Andrew and his father Philip. Mark leaves behind his devoted wife of 40 years, Sheila; his daughter Jessica (her husband Chris, along with their children Daphne, Liam, and Lawson) and his son Mark Jr. (his wife Julie, with their children Sienna and Dylan). He is also survived by his mother, Jeannine Pelletier; his sisters Nancy Samulenas and Julie Paul (and her husband James); his brother Kevin; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
An accountant by trade with Foley Carrier Services, Mark was also known for his love of umpiring and his lifelong passion for trains. He found joy in cheering on his grandson Dylan at baseball games, watching Sienna at cheerleading, and playing cars with Liam and Lawson. His happiest moments were those spent with his grandchildren.
Mark was a proud member of the Northshore Model Train Club, where he could often be found running trains or perfecting new details on his models. He especially enjoyed trips along the Hobo Railroad and loved retelling the story of a family vacation spent in a caboose. Sharing his love of trains with his children and grandchildren was one of his greatest joys.
In keeping with Mark’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Those who wish to honor his memory may do so with a donation in his name to the American Cancer Society helping to preserve the legacy of a man whose love of family, baseball, and trains will never be forgotten.
