Marsha Ann Cowan (née Hope), 77, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, in Orange, Connecticut. Born on May 14, 1948, in Old Forge, Pennsylvania, Marsha lived a life marked by warmth, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Marsha shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband Kenneth. Together they built a loving home and raised three children: daughters Amy Kusinski (Ben) and Erin Snow (Bryan), and son Ryan Cowan (Allie). Her grandsons—Joshua, Jacob, and Brandon—were the joy of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Margaret, as well as her siblings Norman, Fred, and May. Though their absence was deeply felt throughout her life, Marsha carried their memory with grace and strength.
A passionate reader with an ever-growing personal library, Marsha found joy in the written word. Her love of books reflected her curious mind and thoughtful nature. She also had a deep affection for animals—especially cats—and welcomed many feline companions into her home over the years.
Marsha was more than a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; she was the heart of her extended family. As the family matriarch, she offered gentle advice and steadfast support to those around her. Her presence brought comfort during difficult times and joy during moments of celebration. She will be remembered as a warm and loving mother and grandmother, a supportive aunt, and a loyal friend.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date to honor Marsha's memory. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
