Marsha Lou Loop

Marsha L. Loop, passed from this mortal domain on the morning of September 16, 2025, to meet her Lord and Savior. Marsha was born February 10, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan, the oldest of four children born to Robert E. and Wanda L. (Williams) Dorse. Marsha L. married Roger D. Loop, January 21, 1963. Marsha was preceded in death by both of her parents, by her younger brother Robert E. Dorse, Jr., and by her husband of 51 years. Marsha is survived by her 3 sons, Gregory A. (Debra) Loop, Douglas W. (Lorraine "Lorie") Loop, and Roger D. (Ivy) Loop, Jr., and her 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Marsha is also survived by her two sisters, Louanne Frantz (Wally Frantz) and Yvonne LaPradd (Michael LaPradd).
As mother and grandmother, kids always came first. Marsh loved gardening, decorating for the holidays, cooking, entertaining, and making memories. She was creative and imaginative. She was known for telling stories and creating her own version of children's plays with the grandchildren. She always wanted the kids to feel special, taking pictures and creating cherished memories. Marsha was an ardent supporter of her husband's ministry as a pastor. Marsha's faith was central to who she was. She was active as a youth leader and promoted personal piety. Many acknowledge the role she played in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and their own conversions. She worked for years in the library at Liberty University. Marsha remained active in her church after the loss of Roger. She taught Sunday School, led a ladies Bible-Study, and regularly engaged in intercessory prayer for her family and friends. She valued her relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ above all. Knowing that she has passed from death unto life is solace for her family at this time of loss. Marsha will be laid to rest next to her loving husband Roger in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greentown Indiana.
