Marsha Ann Parker, affectionately known as “NANA” peacefully transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the age of 53, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love, strength, and faith. Born May 19, 1972 in Gary, Indiana, to Larry and Sharon Robinson, she was a guiding light, the heart and soul of her family. Marsha was a singing machine with a nurturing presence who led with quiet dignity and boundless compassion. Marsha was raised in Gary, Indiana where she attended West Side High School Class of 1990. After relocating to Indianapolis, Indiana, she attended IUPI. She was employed by Automatic Distributors and served as Shipping Supervisor. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptize at Tarrytown Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Charles Parker. She was attending Bethel A.M.E. Church in Indianapolis, Indiana where she loved singing and praising God. Marsha is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Earline Brooks, Henry and Jimada Robinson; grandparents, Peona and Bernice Bonds, Henritta Harris and Willie Brantly; aunts; Debra, Wanda, and Roselyn Bonds; uncles, Clyde Robinson and Kenneth Bonds. She leaves behind to celebrate her legacy, daughter: TaMia Laster of Indianapolis, Indiana, grandson: Tristin Swanson of Indianapolis, Indiana, parents: Larry and Sharon Robinson of Gary, Indiana, sister: B. Angel Robinson of Gary, Indiana, nephew: Cam’Ron Cowsen of Gary, Indiana, aunts: Cynequa Smith of Flossmoor, Illinois, Doris Cason of Gary, Indiana, Cookie (Curtis) Evans of Terra Haute,Indiana, uncles: Willie (Regina) Robinson of Schererville, Indiana, Jeffery Warren of Gary, Indiana, bonus daughter and sons: Brittany Bonds, Darryl (Whitney) Bryant, James Carter Jr. and Angel Madlock of Indianapolis, Indiana, bonus grandchildren: Brooklyn and DeVontae’ Pearson of Indianapolis, Indiana,
godparents: George and Jane Madlock of Indianapolis, Indiana, best friend: Donna
Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana, special cousins: Ambrosia(Derrick) Towers of
Flossmoor, Illinois, and Brandy Bonds of Gary, Indiana. Marsha nurtured family and friends with unconditional love, unshakable faith, and quiet strength. Her home was always open, her words always wise, and her heart always full. Though she has departed this life, the spirit of “Marsha Ann Parker” will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her Love, Legacy, and Faith will never be forgotten. Funeral service will be held Saturday, October11, 2025 at Peter's Rock Baptist Church 1725 E. 21st Avenue Gary, IN. Viewing 9:00AM - 11:00AM with funeral immediately following at 11:00AM. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to McDuffie Funeral Home.
