Mary Ellen Hibbard (née Peckey), age 69, passed away on September 26, 2025, in Catawba, South Carolina.
Born on November 26, 1955, in Buffalo, New York, Mary the daughter of Buffalo Det. Robert "Bob" Peckey and Elizabeth "Betty" Reeves (née Patterson) began her education at Holy Family Elementary and later graduated from South Park High School. Her early years in Buffalo laid the foundation for a life centered around what was most important, her family.
Mary was a devoted mother to her four sons—Robert, Barry, William, and Sean. Her legacy continues through her cherished family, including ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She held each of them close to her heart and found immense joy in watching her family grow across generations.
A woman of simple pleasures and deep sentimentality, Mary had a special fondness for collecting angels. A Reflection of her devotion to God.
Above all else, Mary will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Her warmth touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she held dear.
