A devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother, Mary Lou's life was a testament to kindness, grace, and faith. She was a compassionate woman who always cared for others.

Born on December 22, 1935, Mary Lou built a life centered on her Christian faith and her deep love for family. She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Richter, and is survived by her daughters Lisa and Laura, her step-daughter Tracy, her grandchildren Jody, Jonah, and Rachael, and her great-granddaughter Selene.

Mary Lou was known for her gentle spirit and the warmth she brought to every family gathering. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or quiet comfort, she found joy simply being with the people she loved. Her unwavering faith guided her life, and she embodied compassion, humility, and love in everything she did. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A service to celebrate Mary Lou's life will be held on November 22, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Lake Travis United Methodist Church in Austin, Texas (1502 Ranch Road 620 North, Lakeway/Austin area).
