Mary Papale

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Mary Papale, 87, of Wallingford, CT, passed away on October 11th, 2025.
Mary was born on May 18th, 1938 in Wamsley, Ohio to parents Ray Osburn and Dorothy (Osburn) Krause. She is predeceased by her sister Ruth Harmon, brother Ray Osburn, and former husband Anthony Papale. She is survived by her younger sister Geneva Osburn of Ohio.
Mary is survived by her son Anthony R. Papale and his wife Laura; her daughter Lisa (Papale) Poland and husband Charles; her four grandchildren Peter Allard (and his wife Ashley), Joseph Allard, Dr. Anthony J. Papale and Elizabeth Papale, along with her two great-grandchildren Peter and Maven, all of whom she loved dearly.
Mary is also predeceased by her son Frederick Papale, who passed away at a young age. Freddy was truly an angel in her life and she never got over his untimely passing.
In her younger years, Mary and her family were avid fans, and eventually participants, of stock car auto racing and could be found at racetracks throughout the Northeast on most weekends. Later in life, Mary developed a passion for poker and enjoyed going to the casino and spending long hours playing in the poker rooms. Surprisingly, she was also an avid fan of the NBA and right up to her passing could be found watching games throughout the day as she followed some of her favorite NBA players. Throughout the past 37 years, nothing gave her more pleasure than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved passionately.
Per Mary's wishes, there will be a private ceremony for her immediate family and no calling hours. Please, no flowers or donations. Her only wish is that friends and family remember her fondly.
