Mary Rieg

Mary Margaret "Peg" Rieg (née Ivory), age 91, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, in Sarasota, Florida.

Born on January 21, 1934, in Chest Springs, Pennsylvania, Peg was the daughter of Adrian Ivory and Gertrude Little Ivory. Her early years in Pennsylvania laid the foundation for a life marked by devotion to family and enduring strength.

Peg was married to Donald J. Rieg, with whom she shared many years of partnership and family life before his passing. Together they raised a large and loving family that became her greatest joy and legacy.

She is lovingly remembered by her seven sons: Richard Rieg and his wife Janet; Timothy Rieg; William Rieg and his wife Jeannie; Scott Rieg and his wife Kathryn; Joseph Rieg and his wife Kim; Brian Rieg and his wife Missy; and Jeffrey Rieg and his husband Richard Gilchrist. Peg was a proud grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren.

Her long life was a testament to resilience, warmth, and unwavering dedication to those she held dear. Peg's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
