Mary Ann Coy passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 70 in Newton, Massachusetts. Born on June 1, 1955, in Brockton, Massachusetts, Mary Ann grew up in Woodstock, New Hampshire, where she attended Lin Wood High School in Lincoln. She furthered her education at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
MaryAnn dedicated her career to the health field, where her compassionate nature was highly valued. She was known for her warm and caring personality and her deep love for animals, especially her cats. Mary Ann's kindness and empathy extended into all areas of her life, making her a cherished member of her community.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Stephen Schuerger, and her loving sisters, Barbara Coy and Cynthia Ayotte (Coy). She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lenora (Bouvier)
A Catholic Mass will be held in her honor on November 15, 2025, at St. Bonaventure Monastery in Detroit, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local humane society in memory of Mary Ann Coy, to continue her legacy of animal care and compassion.
