Send Flowers

Maximillian "Max" Wilson, age 4, passed away on October 16, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Though his time with us was brief, Max filled every moment with happiness, wonder, and boundless curiosity. The biggest gift Max gave to all was the purest form of joy.

Born on April 20, 2021, Max brought light and laughter into the lives of all who knew him. From the very beginning, he had a deep love for music, with the Star Wars "Imperial March" being the first song he enjoyed as an infant. As he grew, so did his enthusiasm for dancing and sharing his infectious laughter. His laugh was goofy and contagious, and another way that Max brought smiles to everyone around him. Max never turned down a good donut, cookie, chocolate cake, or the best of the best—chocolate ice cream with whipped cream and sprinkles; another way Max ensured he was always living life to its fullest.

Max found delight in the world of imagination through listening to stories, and his favorite movies and shows: Cars, Polar Express, and Peppa Pig. He loved watching them over and over again, pointing out his favorite characters and scenes to everyone, as Max always loved being inclusive in his joy. The moment Cars began, and the cars would rev their engines, Max would let out a small gasp in excitement with wide-open, beaming brown eyes. A highlight of his toddler years was visiting Disney World, where he discovered new words like “Castle,” “Fireworks,” and “Monorail.” These became treasured parts of his growing vocabulary and reflected the magic he saw in the world. The monorail was his favorite ride, reflecting his deep love for trains, as it took him to new places to create even more memories. Of course, he would point out the window to show us everything that was really "cool" along the way. "Look at the big castle Max, isn't that super cool?"

He especially loved cars and trains—not just watching them zoom by, but studying their wheels with fascination, and pointing out where the engine is. Of course, he also had to include the color of the car, and would let everyone know if he saw a big truck by directing everyone to "LOOK!" He had many toy cars and trains that he would run all around—up the chair, across the table, and through a makeshift tunnel—it was yet another way he was able to make a new adventure happen. An adventure he really cherished was trips to the beach, where he could play in the sand, watch the waves, and have special family time—it was another place Max would think of fondly and often. He even got to drive over bridges on the way, the coolest part of any car ride. Max traveled around the world to many places in his four adventurous years. He took his first steps in Portugal, saw the countryside of Paris, watched trains in Canada, and, of course, enjoyed ice cream in Belgium. Max got to see his biggest ship ever when he took a cruise to Mexico.

Max had a remarkable sense of curiosity, and he knew he was a smart boy. He was always eager to learn and share what he discovered. Max was instrumental in teaching his 2-year-old sister Olivia about colors, numbers, and letters, which only strengthened their bond as he taught her to love learning too. Max made sure no one missed out on the wonders around them.

Above all else, Max adored his family. He shared a special bond with each of them, but held a particularly tender place in his heart for Olivia. His love for her shone brightly as he guided her through their shared world with excitement, joy, and lots of laughter and “I love you’s”.

Max is survived by his devoted parents, Richard and Crystal Wilson; his siblings, Meghan, Austin, Samara, Olivia, and Finley; as well as loving grandparents, uncles, aunts, and supportive family friends who cherished every moment spent with him.

Though Max’s life was far too short, the impact he made will last forever. His laughter echoes in our hearts, his curiosity inspires us to see the world through fresh eyes, and his love reminds us of what truly matters.

In honor of Max, please eat an extra sweet treat, or think of him the next time you are watching fireworks. Just like the fireworks he loved, Max’s memory will continue to light our lives with the joy he so freely gave.
