Melvin Weston Flack Jr. age 69 of Chicago, IL was born October 17, 1956 to Maragret Flack née Lacefield and Melvin W. Flack Sr. Melvin passed away on Thursday October 23, 2025. Melvin grew up in Gary, Indiana and he attended St Hedwig Catholic School and Bishop Noll High School. For many years Melvin worked in Indiana and Illinois as a security guard and school bus driver. Melvin was preceded in death by the love of his life Kim Coleman; his father Melvin; grandparents Barney and Gladys Flack; Ollie and Melisia Lacefield. Melvin leaves to cherish his loving memory, mother Margaret Flack; daughter Erica (Vernon); 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; aunt Rushell Sims, many cousins, special cousin Ronald Lacefield, other relatives, best friend Kenny Rusher, and church family. Visitation Friday, November 7, 2025 9 :00 am-11: am; funeral 11:00 am at Powell Coleman Funeral Home 3200 W. 15th Ave Gary, IN. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Gary, IN.
