How do you try to summarize a life that was full of life and color? Because that's how Michael Monday lived his life.

Born on August 7, 1967 to Patty and Rich Monday. He entered the world and found out he had an older brother, Mark. And a few years later, his little sister Erin was born - rounding out the Monday family (for now). The Monday kids grew up in Aurora, OH and graduated from Aurora High School, go Greenmen! Michael went on to attend Kent State University where he received a degree in Business Administration & Marketing.

After college, he began a career many can only dream of! From Macy's, Express, The Limited, Anthropologie, Free People, Victoria Secret's, Arhaus, and Boden - his hard work, dedication, and knowledge of the fashion world helped him climb up the ranks and expand his opportunities. He got to travel the world, meet all kinds of creatives, build friendships, mentor coworkers, and watch his hard work come to life.

Over the years, he gained a sister-in-law (Livona), two nieces (Lauren and Morgan) and a nephew (Mitchell). He sprinkled their lives with laughter, love, and adventures. And Michael also filled his life with friendships, so many beautiful and wonderful friends from high school, jobs, and those he met along this journey of life. He loved big, he cared deeply, and he wanted others to experience the fun in life. From Florida, to Philadelphia, London to Columbus - Michael collected stories and friends!

He loved art, great fashion, The Golden Girls, Whitney Houston, a good meal paired with the best wine and most importantly his dog Homer!

Sadly, Michael passed away on October 17, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister. He leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, his nieces and nephew, his dog Homer, his Aunt Helen and Joanie, cousins, and tons of friends. He will be missed dearly and his family hopes his life is a reminder to shine bright, love hard, and never meet a stranger!

In Honor of Michael's life, feel free to donate to the Columbus non-profit organization Besa.
