He was educated in the West Haven School System, where he began building the foundation for a life marked by dedication and compassion. Michael began his career working at Macy's in New Haven, where he remained until the store's closing. Seeking new opportunities, he relocated to California and became a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role that reflected his caring nature and commitment to helping others.
Later in life, Michael returned to Connecticut, settling in Hamden to care for his elderly mother. This selfless act was emblematic of the deep love and loyalty he held for his family.
Michael had a passion for cinema and was an avid moviegoer. He took great joy in collecting videos and movie posters, curating a personal archive that reflected his enthusiasm for film and storytelling.
He leaves behind his sisters, Lee Parker of Sebastopol, California, and Joan Parker, with whom he lived. He is also remembered by several nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, John Parker and Margaret Gagliardi, as well as his brothers Edward Parker and Ralph Gagliardi.
