Michael Swart, 57, of Enfield, passed into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Born on December 21, 1967, he was the beloved son of the late Johannes and Corice (Williams) Swart and a lifelong resident of Enfield.

Michael was a skilled and dedicated HVAC technician who proudly served his community for many years. Known for his generosity and compassion, he often provided free or deeply discounted repairs to those in need, ensuring that no one went without heat. His knowledge of boilers was unmatched, and his integrity earned him the respect and gratitude of countless customers and friends.

He is survived by his cherished daughter, Amanda Wilcox, whom he loved beyond words; his siblings Joseph Swart and his wife Linda, of Enfield, and Amy Swart, of Stafford; and his faithful dog, Matilda, who brought him endless companionship and joy. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, his sister Lisa J. Pelletier, and his brothers Thomas M. Swart and Robert “Robby” Swart, as well as his sister Cynthia Wills.

Michael was a die-hard New England Patriots fan and enjoyed many happy Sundays as they made their way to multiple Super Bowl victories. A true lover of the outdoors, Michael found peace walking with Matilda through the Green Manor woods, where he had spent much of his childhood. He had an insatiable curiosity and a love of learning, a gift he shared with his late mother. Michael will be remembered for his big heart, generous spirit, and the kindness he showed to all who knew him.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.


Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service/Celebration of Life on November 16, 2025, at Figaros Restaurant, 92 Elm Street, Enfield, CT 06082, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
