Michael Watson

Michael Watson, 59, passed away on October 4, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on February 8, 1966, in Findlay, Ohio, Michael lived a life marked by service, dedication, and quiet strength.

Michael proudly served his country as a First Class Petty Officer in the United States Navy for 20 years. His military career was a testament to his discipline and commitment to duty. Following his honorable service, he continued to serve his community as a postal carrier for 17 years—a role he approached with the same reliability and care that defined every aspect of his life.

He is remembered with love by his wife, Samantha Watson; daughters Amanda Vermaelan (Scottie) and Elizabeth J (Michael); brothers Mark Watson and David Watson; sister Linda; and six cherished grandchildren: Laynee, Gabby, Hunter, AJ, Asher, and Logan. Michael also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will carry forward his memory.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Marcella Watson; mother-in-law Lyn Brooks; as well as grandparents, aunts, and uncles who shaped the early chapters of his life.

Those who knew Michael will remember him as kind-hearted, gentle in spirit, compassionate in action, and always willing to lend a helping hand. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched—family members who loved him deeply and friends who valued his steady presence.
