Michael Weeks

Michael Daniel Weeks, 62, passed away, surrounded by his family on September 26, 2025. He was born on August 24, 1963. Michael's journey was marked by service, laughter, and deep connections with those around him.

Mike attended high school in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. After graduation, he answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. He served proudly aboard the USS Midway CV-41, a chapter of his life that remained a source of pride and camaraderie. He was stationed in California and Guam also during his naval career. He eventually settled in North Branch, Minnesota where he raised his family and made many life long friends. Countless summer nights were spent on the ball field coaching his children through their early years of baseball and softball.

He was a master craftsman with a rare talent for woodworking, known for his precision, creativity, and dedication to his craft. As a cabinet maker, he built more than furniture — he built pieces that carried his care and attention in every detail. His work can be found in countless homes and spaces, a lasting testament to his skill, patience, and pride in a job done right. Whether shaping a piece of wood or mentoring others in his trade, he poured his heart into everything he made.

Known for his sharp wit and intelligence, Michael had a natural ability to bring humor into any room. His quick comebacks and infectious laughter were trademarks that endeared him to friends and family alike.

Mike found joy in simple pleasures—casting a line on a quiet lake, cruising on his Goldwing motorcycle on a sunny afternoon, sitting in his deer stand as the sun began to rise, or cheering on his favorite Minnesota sports teams.

He treasured gatherings with family and friends — whether it was a backyard cookout or simply sharing stories around the table. But his greatest joy came from being a grandpa. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he took pride in every laugh, every hug, and every milestone they reached. The love he poured into his family will continue to live on through them.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Danielle Chandler and her husband Luke; son Michael Weeks and his wife Natalie; and grandchildren Ben, Brooke, and Brody. His father Daniel Weeks; and his sisters Barb Schauer (Robert) and Brenda Gilbert (Jeff) also mourn his passing along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who were touched by his presence.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie (Michaud) Beard.
