Mike Larson passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, leaving behind a life well-lived and deeply loved. Born on December 9, 1956, to Glenn and Leona Larson, Mike grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Mike was a man who brought energy, warmth, and a sharp wit to everyone around him. He was greeted in heaven by his parents and his son, Matt, whom he loved and missed every day.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate, Jane, whom he affectionately called “Hane.” Their love was strong and steady, filled with shared adventures, laughter, and the kind of connection that only grows deeper with time. Together, they built a life full of meaningful moments and lasting memories.

Mike also leaves behind his daughter, Megan Leach, and son-in-law, Joe, who brought him immense pride and joy. One of Mike’s greatest roles in life was being “Papa” to his three amazing grandchildren: Jacob, Claire, and Michael. He treasured every moment with them and passed on his wisdom, humor, and love, along with a bit of an adventurous spirit.

Mike was happiest up north with his family. He loved spending time out on the lake, casting a line, and enjoying the quiet. He’d ride his UTV through the woods with Hane and his dog, Ida, right beside him. In the screen porch, he’d settle into his spot with a Bloody Mary in hand, playing cards and talking late into the evening.

Some of his favorite memories were made riding Harley-Davidsons with Hane behind him, and the open road ahead. Those bikes, now passed down to his grandsons, carry with them the spirit of a man who lived fully and loved deeply.

He is also survived by his siblings: Bill (Rox), Carol (Steve) Funke, Nancy (Steve) Standish, Ron (Monica), Jim (Mary), Jerry (Judy), and many nieces and nephews. As a brother and uncle, Mike was a steady presence, fun to be around, supportive, and always up for a good time with family.

Mike will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his sense of adventure, and the way he made people laugh. His legacy lives on in the people who knew and loved him, and in the memories that will be shared for years to come.

A gathering will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday, October 25th, starting at 6:15 PM, at the Forest Lake American Legion Post 225, Banquet Hall A.
Address: 355 W Broadway Ave, Forest Lake, MN 55025.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
