Mike Luckow

Mike Luckow passed away on November 13 after his battle with cancer. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and no formal service will be held.

Born on July 29, 1957, he built a life grounded in love, honesty, and simple joys. He was married to the love of his life, Barb, for 45 years, and though he loved in his own way, his loyalty to her was unmistakable. He was a devoted father to his daughter Laura and her husband Bob, who brought him endless pride.

He was happiest with the little things that made life good—finding the perfect burger or hot dog, cheering on the Bears and the Cubs, or relaxing with Channel 7 on in the background. His grand-pup Rizzo held a special place in his heart and always managed to make him smile.

Those who knew him will remember his easy humor, his quiet steadiness, and generosity. Though there will be no service, his family invites all who knew him to honor him in their own way—perhaps with a good meal, a ballgame, or a moment of reflection.

He will be deeply missed, and lovingly remembered.
