Mitchell Leonard Wieczorek Jr.
("Mike," "Mickey")
 August 2, 1936 - October 8, 2025
 of North Fort Myers, Florida,
 Formerly of Cudahy, Wisconsin

Mitchell passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at the age of 89, with his loving wife and daughter by his side.
Mitchell proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division from 1954 to 1957. A proud veteran of the Korean War era, he carried his sense of duty, honor, and camaraderie throughout his life.
After serving in the U.S. Army, Mitchell went on to work in the airline industry, where he dedicated 41 years of service before retiring in 1999 to spend more time with his family.
Mitchell was preceded in death by his first wife, Kay M. Wieczorek; daughter, Kristine M. Schabla; brother, Peter Wieczorek; sisters-in-law, Carol Wieczorek and Helena Wieczorek; and cousin, Aiden Johnson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Mary Lou Wieczorek; his children, Kim (Mark) Merriman, Mitchell Wieczorek, Kathy Sayles, Cheryl Abraham, and John Abraham; and his grandchildren, Bree (Alma) Bergsrud, Matthew (Breana) Merriman, Michael (Emily) Merriman, Derek and Justin Wieczorek, Kaeden Sayles, Danyl (Joe) Leinstock, and many other cherished relatives and friends.
Mitchell also leaves behind his great-grandchildren, Jovanni and Angelo Bergsrud, Hunter and Evelynn Merriman, Ryleigh, Leevi, and Skylynn Merriman, and Keaton Abraham, as well as his brother Al Wieczorek and his beloved dog, Teddy.
Mitchell was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time at his "happy place," Way-Dam Resort in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. He was a passionate photographer who found beauty in old barns, bridges, and the quiet charm of nature. He also enjoyed making fishing flies, watching war, western, and scary movies, and cheering for his beloved Green Bay Packers.
He was known for his warm smile, quick wit, and wonderful sense of humor. Mitchell loved playing card games, Yahtzee, and Uno with his family and was a devoted supporter at his grandchildren's baseball and softball games. Above all, he cherished his family, who meant everything to him.
Mitchell truly loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
