Nancy Bertha Duthey

Nancy Duthey, age 88, of Knoxville, Tennessee, went peacefully to her heavenly home surrounded by her children. Nancy was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin and grew up in Two Creeks on the family farm. She got her degree in accounting while raising her five young children after the sudden death of her first husband. She lived a life full of love, joy and kindness. She was always devoted to her family and friends. She was always having them over for a meal and to play card games. She loved to travel annually to Wisconsin with her grandchildren and cherished the church trip to Israel. Nancy was a friend, mentor and leader at the Grace Lutheran Church with over four decades of faithful service. She was survived by her loving children, Scott Parkos (Sue), Amy Flentje (Todd), Tracy Connor (Scott), Greg Duthey, Elisabeth Hartlaub, Nadine Davis, Karen Duthey, her grandchildren Chris (Danielle) Rand, Ryan (Chris Sina) Parkos, Heather Allen, Jamie Johnson, Eric (Amber) Gates, Jessie Gates, Paul (Melissa) Lusk, Amanda(Jamie) Tullock, Alexandria (Jace) Flentje, Nichole (Brian) Hoppe and Brandon Connor. She has 22 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She is further survived by one sister in-law Jeanette Thomas and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her Parents Werner and Mabel (Stoer) Schmoock, husbands Stanley Parkos, Richard Duthey, daughters Cindy Johnson, Denise Robertson, and brothers, sister and in-laws, Paul (Antia) Schmoock, Dale (Eleanor) Schmoock, Eileen (Joe) Taddy, Betty (Lester) Anschutz, Jimmy (Loretta) Parkos, Doris (Ervin) Gillis, Don (Janet) Parkos, Don Thomas, Rosemary (Daniel) Meissner, Diane (Paul) Frenz, Sara Parkos, Joe Parkos Jr, Eugene Parkos, Jerry Parkos and Diana Duthey .
Nancy's Celebration of Life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 9076 Middlebrook Pike Knoxville, TN. 37923, on Saturday October 18th. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am, Service at 11:00am, followed by a luncheon. Interment will be at a different date at the Veterans Cemetery details forthcoming. In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church at above address or Paradox Teen Center, 832 Allard Hwy Jamestown, TN 38556.
