Nancy Ann Facteau (Richards, formerly LaForte), 78, passed peacefully from this life on October 28, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Nancy spent the heart of her life in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she poured her love into raising her children and creating a home filled with laughter, warmth, and care. In 2018, she embraced a new chapter in Florence, Arizona, bringing her light and joy to her later years.
Nancy was a soul defined by love, kindness, and a sharp sense of humor. She delighted in family gatherings, the playful connection of online video games with her loved ones, and the sparkle of her favorite casino. Distance never diminished her devotion—she cherished video chats with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, ensuring that her love was always felt. And, true to her nature, she ended every conversation with her signature words: “I love you, Bye!”—a phrase that became her lasting gift to all who knew her.
She is survived by her four children: Michelle Jakubiak and her husband, Robert, with whom she lived, of Arizona; Carl LaForte of Illinois; Ron LaForte and his wife, Tina, of Arizona; and Lori LaForte of Florida. Three stepchildren: Bobby Facteau, Gregory Facteau, and Lori Facteau, and one brother and three sisters: Francis Fitzgerald, Darlene Phelan, Cheryl Fitts, and Kelly Thies.
Her love extended to seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren whom she cherished more than life itself!
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mildred Richards; her brothers, John Richards, James Richards, and Thomas “Barney” Richards; and by her loving husband, Emery “Sonny” Facteau.
Services will be private, at the request of the family.
Her spirit was a light that touched all who knew her, and though she has left this world, her laughter, love, and generosity will live on in the hearts she shaped and the lives she blessed.
In her own words to everyone she loved: “I love you, Bye!”
