Nancy Jo Shuttleworth

Nancy Jo Wilson Shuttleworth of Millsboro, Delaware died 9 October 2025. She was born in San Diego to James and Claudia Wilson. She grew up a Navy brat, until her family settled in McLean VA. She received her bachelor's degree in Applied Math from UVa in 1981. She started out as an Anti-Submarine Warfare analyst at TRW. Her next job was her favorite of all time, that of a Mom. She raised three children and reentered the workforce only after they were all in elementary school. She spent the next 20+ years as a Systems Engineer supporting various National Intelligence Agencies, though primarily in support of National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, with a particular expertise in Systems Acquisition and Systems Interfaces. She was an avid horsewoman, excellent cook, breast cancer survivor, and owner of three horses and many dogs. She is survived by her husband Joseph, her daughter Theresa Rendon and Theresa's husband Joey; her son Christopher Quigley Jr, and his wife Cammie; and her daughter Kaitlin Vernon and her husband Drue; 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter (all of them the apple of her eye); a niece, four nephews and several cousins. A Celebration of Life will take place at Lark Brewing Company, Aldie, Virginia on 29 November 2025. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in her name to the III B's Foundation.
