Natalie Ann Buzil

Natalie Ann Buzil, nee Bluestein, age 96, passed away peacefully at home on October 10th, 2025. Beloved mother of Ronald (Debi), Corry, Beth, and Steven (Janet). Cherished grandmother (GungGung) to Hannah, Robbie, Michael, Asa, and Arielle. Loving partner of Bob Davies and dear sister of Louis Bluestein, who both preceded her in death. Natalie was loved by all in her extended family and by her many current and lifelong friends. Many of her closest friends were from her teenage years from Chicago's South Shore. Later, she joined a choral group, the Harmonaires, and befriended many of the women in the group who became very dear to her. Natalie performed with the Harmonaires all over Chicago and the North Shore, singing for many organizations' events. Natalie was also an avid animal lover who took in many stray dogs and cats and supported countless animal welfare groups. She would often walk with her friends in the neighborhood or the track to keep fit and be active. You could always find her doing crossword puzzles, reading the newspaper, or reading history books. She loved anything on World War 2, Winston Churchill, the Holocaust, FDR, or the Royal Family. She had a passion for the old Hollywood movies from the 1940s - Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland, and Ginger Rogers, to name a few. She also loved to laugh and loved Mel Brooks and anything Woody Allen- even once saw Woody Allen play clarinet at Michael's Pub on New York's Upper East Side. Natalie was beautiful inside and out, a timeless beauty who never showed her age and had a wonderful sense of humor, even at the very end when life became more challenging. We love you Natalie.
