Nigel John Daniel

Nigel John Daniel, 72, of Worcester, England, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29th, 2025, surrounded by family and utmost love.

Nigel was born on September 11th, 1953 to Gwynfryn and Esmerelda Daniel. He grew up with a deep love for sport, cinema and education. His lifelong passion for soccer brought him to the United States through the Eastern Soccer Academy. That journey ultimately led him to Litchfield, Connecticut, where he began his long and impactful career at The Forman School.

Over his 32 years of service at Forman, Nigel wore many hats, most notably as Assistant Head of School and Assistant Head Coach of the Men’s Soccer Team. He was a gifted educator, a compassionate mentor, and a fair coach who helped shape the lives of countless students. His understated humor and steadfast dedication made him a beloved figure on campus and beyond.

Nigel retired from coaching in 2015 and from teaching in 2018, leaving behind a legacy of leadership, camaraderie, and excellence celebrated in both the classroom and on the field.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Nigel was known for always having a story to tell, his humor and appetite for adventure, as well as his unique skill of finding levity in life.

Nigel is survived by his son, Spencer John Daniel, his partner, Beatrice Adams, and her three children Abigail, Ben and Will. He is also survived by his stepmother, Valerie, and stepsisters, Karen and Michelle.

He is remembered as a loyal friend and a loving father.
