Norman Paul Finnegan, 83, of 6 Lilac Drive, Rochester, NH, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025. Norman will be forever remembered for his infectious spirit, his kind heart, and his unwavering devotion to his family. Born in Salem, MA, on January 31, 1942, Norman was the only child of the late William A. Finnegan and Helen T. (Varley) Finnegan. He attended Salem High School and applied his sharp intellect professionally, dedicating many years of his career to working with computers as a skilled System Analyst. Above all else, Norman loved his family and friends. His presence was a source of great joy, as he loved to make others laugh. He was a proud, supportive, and caring father who cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed the challenge and camaraderie of playing cards with family and was an avid reader throughout his life. Norman is survived by his cherished wife of 61 years, Brenda (Rockwell) Finnegan, of Rochester, NH. He was a loving father to his four children: Alan B. Finnegan, 62, of Auburn, NH; Craig J. Finnegan, 60, and his wife, Debbie, of Lebanon, ME; Daniel C. Finnegan, 57, of Milton, NH; and Leslie G. Marsh, 55, of Center Barnstead, NH. Norman was the proud grandfather of Brianna J. Finnegan of Sunnyvale, CA, Duane M. Marsh of Newmarket, NH, Elysha R. Marsh of Milton, NH, and Danica V. Finnegan of Farmington, NH. He was also blessed to be a great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Norman's family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff at Johnson Creek Village for their compassionate care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Norman's memory to the Dementia Society of America (P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901) or the Alzheimer's Association (P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011).
