Patricia A.S. Carson, was born in Toronto, Canada on September 2, 1928, and died September 7, 2025 at Waverly Heights, Gladwyne. Born to Dr. Clark and Edith Noble she was the eldest and last surviving of five. She moved to the U.S. in 1950 after marrying Charles W. Forbes (deceased1982) where she raised her three children in Wayne, PA. She married James T. Carson (deceased 2011) in 1984 with whom she enjoyed a life of travel, gardening at their home in Newtown Square and visiting her children and grandchildren in Australia, British Columbia and Boston. She moved to Waverly Heights in 2013 where she enjoyed the company of many of her lifelong friends. A member of St. David’s Church, Radnor since her arrival in the U.S., she was an active member of the flower guild for 40 years where she enjoyed arranging the flowers in the company of fellow church members who shared her passion. A member of the Philadelphia Garden Club, she won several awards for her entries over the years in the Philadelphia Flower Shower Show and her talent was often tapped for judging. Her creative skills also found their way into her watercolor, pastel, acrylic and oil paintings. She is survived by her three children, their spouses and six grandchildren: Patricia Seton (Toni) Forbes, her husband Ray Freed and their two children, Erik Freed and Kate Freed; Anne Forbes Van Nest, her husband Jeffrey (Rook) Van Nest and their children Andrew Van Nest and Duncan Van Nest; C.B.W. Forbes (Barry) and his wife Kathleen (Kathy) Mullen and his two children Siena Forbes-Lewis and Baxter Forbes-Lewis.
