Patricia Hemingway Kirkhart passed away on September 29, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona, just days before her 70th birthday. Pat spent her life rooted in Arizona, California and Georgia, creating a legacy of resilience, warmth, and connection.
Pat began her education at St. Catherine's Catholic School in Phoenix before continuing at St. Cyprian Catholic School in Long Beach, California. After opting to attend the school of life, Pat earned an Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies from Lamson College.
Pat's spirited nature made her an undeniable presence among friends. She had a gift for conversation—whether catching up with old friends or striking up conversations with strangers. She found joy in long drives and had a fondness for Mexican restaurants where good food often came with good company.
Pat lives on in her children: Lael, James, Robert, Stephanie, and Matthew. Her legacy is continued with her many grandchildren. Her dog Buddy also remained a cherished companion. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Chuck; her parents Jean and Bernie; and her brothers Andy and Bernie Jr.
Her journey through life was marked by strength through adversity and joy in simple pleasures. While Pat did not wish for a memorial service, donations can be made to St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Phoenix AZ, Hospice of the Valley of AZ, & St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
