Patricia Jeanette Precup (née High) passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, in Yucca Valley, California, at the age of 79, surrounded by her family. She was born on August 26, 1946, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to George Willis High and Laura Jean Blaylock High.

In 1947, the High family moved to Arizona, where Pat spent her childhood. In 1966, Pat made her home in California; in her young adult years, she worked as a waitress, where she developed her warm, friendly demeanor and love of connecting with people.

Pat went on to hold a long and fulfilling career, retiring as a Supervisor in the San Bernardino County Court Clerk's Office in Joshua Tree, California, where she was admired for her professionalism, leadership, and compassion.

Pat was the beloved wife of Michael Precup Sr., with whom she shared 44 wonderful years of marriage—a life rich in devotion, humor, and adventure. Together, they moved to Oregon in 1985, and then settled in Yucca Valley, California, in 1987, where she lived until her passing. They also purchased a home in Ohio, which they frequently visited—traveling there by car or in their Cessna.

She is survived by her devoted husband Michael Precup Sr.; her loving children Frank Flores (Yen), Juliana Beaston, Scott Moore, Michael Precup Jr., and Mary Jo Precup; her cherished grandchildren Francisco Flores, Fiona Flores, Anthony Flores, Lindsay Hunter, Brandon Beaston, Isabel Beaston, Megan Moore, Makenna Moore, and Brianna Parrish (Jonathan); and her great-grandchildren Oakleigh, Rowyn, Emersyn, Brynlee, and Jonny. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Pamela Aiken High, and dear nieces and nephews who will continue to honor her memory.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Tony High, Doris High Carrara, Arthur High, and Robin High, as well as her granddaughter, baby Patricia Grinceri.

Pat had a positive outlook on life and a deep love for home and family. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, dancing, video poker, card games, crosswords, puzzles, and shopping—always ready for a good bargain, a challenge, and laughter. She had a special passion for game shows, once winning a car on the Concentration game show and over $6,000 in a radio contest. She also enjoyed using her luck at slots in the casinos.

She found joy in family gatherings, where her warmth, kindness, and generosity shone brightest. A conservative and thoughtful woman, Pat valued tradition and togetherness, welcoming anyone to her home for a meal and good company.

She was endlessly supportive, offering encouragement and kindness to those who needed it most. Pat had a special gift for caring for children and was known as the most attentive, patient, and loving caregiver—a steady and nurturing presence in her family's lives.

Pat will be remembered for her kindness, laughter, and ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Her compassion, support, and gentle strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Services and a Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 56885 Onaga Trail, Yucca Valley, California 92284.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to any local no-kill animal shelter in Pat's honor.
