Dr. Patrick Carl Dupont, 70, passed away on November 4, 2025, in Ft. Worth, Texas. Born on May 15, 1955, in Alexandria, Louisiana, Patrick lived a life marked by compassion, service, and a deep commitment to both his faith, his family, and his profession.
Patrick began his career in healthcare after earning his degree in nursing and becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). For over three decades, he served patients with skill and dedication in the operating room. His work as a CRNA reflected not only his medical expertise but also his calm presence and unwavering care for others.
In Spring 2024, Patrick embraced a new chapter in his professional journey by joining Baylor University's MSMS program as an instructor of Medical Ethics from a Christian Perspective. This transition honored a family legacy of more than 100 years in education. Drawing from his extensive clinical experience, Patrick became a valued mentor to students as an instructor, clinical instructor, and clinical supervisor. His passion for teaching and guiding future healthcare professionals was evident in every lecture and interaction.
Beyond his professional life, Patrick was deeply involved in his church community at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth. He played alongside his wife Linda in the sanctuary orchestra and served faithfully in the Soul Care ministry as a Certified Biblical Counselor. His musical talents and spiritual guidance enriched the lives of many within the congregation.
Patrick is survived by his beloved wife Linda; his son Sean; daughter-in-law Heather; stepdaughter Alyson Stone and husband Jared; stepson Ahren Swett; grandsons Calvin, Sam, Zeke, Graham, Micah; granddaughters Aliyah and Autumn; brother Robert; and sisters Christine and Allison. He was a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle who brought warmth and laughter into every room he entered. Known for always having a story or joke at the ready, Patrick shared joy freely with those around him. His deep care for family was evident through the support he offered whenever it was needed.
Patrick's legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched—as a healer, teacher, counselor, musician, and cherished family member. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
In lieu of flowers, Patrick would be honored by a donation to the Soul Care lay ministry at Christ Chapel Bible Church.
