Patrick J. McMahon

Patrick J. McMahon, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, in Parma Heights, Ohio.

Born on May 12, 1937, in Binghamton, New York, Patrick was the son of Dr. Ralph J. McMahon, MD and Laurel E. McMahon. He attended St. Patrick's Catholic High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Catholic University.

Patrick began his career at SUNY Binghamton, where he contributed to the development of the NASA Space Mission computer system—an achievement that placed him at the forefront of technological innovation during a transformative era in space exploration. After relocating to Ohio, he continued his work in information technology at Summit Racing.

He was deeply devoted to his faith and lived a life guided by spiritual conviction. His marriage to Earlene P. (Rupp) McMahon spanned 54 years until her passing, reflecting a bond rooted in love and loyalty.

In his later years, Patrick volunteered with Hospice of Western Reserve, offering comfort and support to individuals and families during their most difficult times. His calm presence and compassionate nature left a lasting impact on many.

Patrick was preceded in death by his beloved wife Earlene; his parents; brothers Jim McMahon and Jack McMahon; and sisters Frances Nay, Marie Bartholomew, and Barbara Tamke (Regard). He is survived by his brother David (Dee) McMahon of North Carolina and many nieces, nephews and God children.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on November 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 12706 Pearl Rd.
