Paul Joseph Laliberte, born on June 5, 1955, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away on November 17, 2025, in Silver Springs, Florida.
Paul was born and raised in Bridgeport, where he attended St. Charles Primary School and graduated from Kolbe Cathedral High School in 1973. In his youth, he served as an altar boy, a role that reflected his early connection to his community and faith. Paul spent most of his adult life in Milford, Connecticut, where he built a career in the roofing and window installation industry. He owned and operated his own company, demonstrating a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2017, Paul retired to Silver Springs, Florida, where he embraced a quieter pace of life while staying closely connected to family and friends. An avid sports fan throughout his life, Paul especially enjoyed cheering for the New York Giants, often attending games at the original Meadowlands stadium with his cousins and uncle. He was also a devoted supporter of the New York Yankees and the University of Connecticut Huskies. In retirement, he became an enthusiastic armchair sports fan, finding joy in following his favorite teams from home.
Paul had a passion for cooking and baking that was deeply rooted in family tradition. He lovingly recreated many of his grandmother Eva’s recipes and continued her cherished custom of baking a white fruitcake each Christmas. His holiday cookies were eagerly anticipated by family members, a sweet reminder of his generosity and love for sharing.
He found great pleasure in spending time with cousins over lunches and dinners after moving to Florida and maintained close connections through frequent phone calls with family and friends. Paul will be fondly remembered for his generous spirit—always giving gifts to those he cared about—and for being a dedicated son and loyal companion to his father during his later years.
Paul was predeceased by his mother, Jeanne Martin Laliberte; his father, Joseph Paul Laliberte; his father’s second wife, Margaret Lapscik Laliberte; as well as by his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. After the loss of his mother at a young age, Paul was lovingly raised by his father and maternal grandparents, Eva Beloin Martin and Harry Martin Sr., whose care helped shape the man he became.
He is survived by many cousins across the country who remember him with affection, as well as by his stepsister and her family, and friends from Connecticut.
Burial will be private. Donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida at www.feedhopenow.org or via mail at Second Harvest Food Bank, 411 Mercy Drive, Orlando, FL 32805.
May Paul’s memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
