Paula Freda Cook

Paula Freda Cook (née Phillips), 74, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on October 29, 1950, in Folsom, Pennsylvania, she made her home in Secane, then Glen Mills, where she raised her children, and later in Phoenixville. She also spent countless joy-filled weekends in the Poconos.

Paula was a retired respiratory therapist at Springfield Hospital who returned to college later in life, driven by her strong belief in education and helping others. She was a lifelong caregiver, always putting others before herself.

She shared an inseparable bond with her husband of 55 years, Robert Cook, built on love, loyalty, and resilience. Together, they embraced life with deep commitment and playful humor. They affectionately referred to each other as "Bud" and "Chief."

Paula was cherished by her family and friends. She had a gift for listening with patience and offering thoughtful advice. To her daughters, she was more than a parent; she was their confidante and best friend.

Paula was an avid reader and enjoyed outscoring others at the game "Words with Friends." She found serenity in relaxing lakeside in the Poconos, going on beach trips, and traveling, but she was happiest when she was with her grandchildren, sharing laughter with her family.

She is survived by her husband Robert; daughters Michelle Bosco and Dana Badman; sons-in-law Matthew and Christopher; grandchildren James, Julia, Bennett, Nathan, and Olivia; brother Jon Phillips; sister Donna Gonzalez; and is lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pauline Phillips, and her brother Joseph Phillips.

At Paula's request, no service will be held. She asked to be remembered for the joy she brought, the strength she showed, and the many happy memories she shared with loved ones.
