Paula June Palmer Fouts passed away unexpectedly August 13, 2025, at the age of 77. Her bright eyes and smile will be missed by all who knew her.
Paula was born October 22, 1947, in Iowa City, IA to Donald and Evelyn Palmer.
Paula grew up the second of seven children and spent the early part of her life in Iowa before the family moved to Vancouver Washington in 1957. Vancouver would become her home for most of her life.
Paula was a 1967 graduate of Evergreen High School. Later that same year she
married Larry Fouts which then began her 20-year journey as a Navy wife, and mother to five beautiful daughters.
Moving was part of the military life, and Paula would always make the best of it. She put her heart into each home to make it their own. Many friends and memories were made along the way.
She loved living in Guam, there she was able to enjoy the beautiful weather, plants, flowers and Island life.
Paula had a way with plants, even when she didn't have much space to garden, she would still have the most beautiful potted plants and hanging baskets to decorate her front porch.
Paula loved decorating, especially for holidays, and she was quite good at it. Christmas was her favorite, but she had decorations for all. She would spend days getting everything out and making it perfect. Her home would look like a Christmas store when she was done, and she loved showing it off to family and friends.
Fall was her favorite time of year, and Paula enjoyed trips to the pumpkin patch with family to get her pumpkins, gourds and decorative items to decorate her home.
Paula loved spending time with family especially during the Holidays where they would all gather and share a good meal, play games, sing songs and just enjoy each other's company.
Paula had many friends and enjoyed visits from all of them. She would often get together for lunch with alumni from Evergreen High.
Paula was proceeded in death by her parents Donald and Evelyn Palmer along with her sister Tina Reagle.
Paula leaves behind her beloved daughters, Chelinda Moses (Dewayne), Rebecca Scott (Steve), Tiffany Fouts (Chris), Tanya Fouts (Evan), and Trisha Fender (Carl). She was also the grandmother to seven grandsons and 3 granddaughters as well as seven great grandchildren.
