Percy Hammond

Percy Hammond, age 85, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025. A gentle and loving soul, Percy was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He had a special fondness for antiques and enjoyed sharing stories and memories with those closest to him.

Percy was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Hammond Etchan; his brothers, Willie R. Jofferion Sr. and Foster Lee Jr.; and his close cousin, Henry Carpenter Sr. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever cherish the love, laughter, and warmth he brought into their lives.

In keeping with Percy's wishes, there will be no formal service of remembrance. Instead, he asked that his loved ones honor his memory by spending time doing the things they love with the people they love. He believed in living life fully and joyfully, and he would want everyone to enjoy every moment.

Percy's legacy is one of compassion, connection, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
