Peter John Perkins

Peter John Perkins, affectionately known as "Uncle Pete," of Neptune City, passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 65 in Gloversville, NY.

Peter was born on May 19, 1960, in Summit, NJ, to Harold and Joan Perkins. He graduated from Neptune High School and Seton Hall University and worked in banking until his retirement.

Pete loved spending time at his camper in upstate New York and with his many friends at the Shark River Beach and Yacht Club, where he had been a member for many years. He was a devoted fan of the New York Giants and NASCAR, and he especially enjoyed entertaining his friends. He was known for his cooking and his special desserts during the holidays. Pete also loved his cats, who were his constant companions and a big part of his life. His infectious laugh and warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

Peter is survived by his brothers, Glenn (Bonnie) and Douglas (Betsy) Perkins; and by his beloved nieces and nephews: Kelly Perkins and her significant other, Mike; Patrick Perkins and his significant other, Jennifer; Brian Perkins and his wife, Kaity; Tiffany DeCresci and her husband, Frank; Beverly Scallan and her husband, Michael; and Kenney and his significant other, Rachel. He is also survived by his cherished great-niece and great-nephews — Mason, Emma, Liam, Logan, and Jack — who filled his life with love and laughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Shark River Beach and Yacht Club, 360 S Riverside Drive in Shark River Hills, on Thursday, October 30, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
