Peter & Rosalind Orner

In August, 2023, Rosalind Orner and Peter Orner passed away peacefully at their home in Escondido, California. Rosalind was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 31, 1937 to Alice (Cohen) and George Dorfman. Peter was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 29, 1936 to Rose (Rosenberg) and Arthur Orner. They married in 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio, and lived there until moving to Poway, California in 1977. In the 1990s, Rosalind and Peter moved to Escondido and built their dream home in the hills just north of town. Rosalind found joy and pride curating and maintaining beautiful flowers and shrubs and plants of all types around her home. Her passion for nature was matched by her love of classical music and opera. Peter found joy and pride tinkering with cars, and applying his interest in law and his education in mechanical engineering and internal medicine to his work and hobbies. Rosalind and Peter are survived by their sons Daniel and Jonathan and their families. Rosalind is survived by a niece, and Peter is survived by his brother David, and two nieces.
