In Loving Memory of Philip Morini
The set has gone quiet, the cameras have stopped rolling, and one of the best men behind the scenes has called "That's a wrap." Phil , beloved husband, Assistant Director, Unit Production Manager, and devoted dad to his Siamese cats, took his final bow on 07/08/2023.
Phil spent his life orchestrating movie magic — the calm in the chaos of production, the man who somehow kept everything (and everyone) on schedule. He could juggle a dozen things at once: wrangling actors, solving last-minute crises, and still finding time to call home to ask, "Did you feed the cats?"
He loved his work in the entertainment industry, where his dry humor, quick thinking, and legendary patience made him everyone's favorite problem-solver. But his true leading roles were husband, friend, and cat whisperer. His Siamese companions adored him — mostly because he understood the fine art of being bossed around by creatures half his size.
At home, Phil directed daily life with the same mix of precision and comedy that made him great on set. He believed in good stories, long laughs, and always having snacks for both humans and cats. He could turn even a quiet evening into a memorable scene.
He leaves behind his loving wife and scene partner, Cathie Morini, who will miss his voice calling "Quiet on the set!" every time the cats caused a ruckus, and his calm wisdom when life went off script.
Though the credits are rolling, Phil's legacy will keep playing in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him — proof that the best productions are made not just with skill, but with love, humor, and the occasional cat hair on your black wardrobe.
In lieu of flowers, please feed a cat, support the arts, or tell a great story — preferably with good lighting.
And as Phil would surely say, "We're not done — we're just moving to the next scene."
