Preston Brooks Dasher

Preston Brooks Dasher, 78, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025. Born on September 5, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts, Preston was the son of the late Benjamin Joseph Dasher and Anne Brooks Dasher.

A proud veteran and Bronze Star recipient, Preston served his country with honor as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he built a long and successful career as an engineer in research and development for a Lawrenceville-based manufacturing company. Known for his sharp intellect and remarkable problem-solving skills, Preston was respected by colleagues and loved by all who knew him.

On March 9, 1974, Preston married the love of his life, Tricia, with whom he shared more than fifty wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised two sons, Matthew and Michael, of whom Preston was immensely proud.

Preston will always be remembered for his sense of humor, quick wit, and unwavering devotion to his family. He lived with quiet strength, curiosity, and love for those around him.

He is survived by his wife, Tricia; sons Matthew and Michael; siblings Benjamin Dasher Jr., St. Clair Blue, Joanna Brooks, David Dasher, and Carole Marlow; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 26, at 4:00 p.m. at the clubhouse facility at The Mansions at Gwinnett Park, 2400 Buford Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.
