Ramona Jeanette Barr, 71, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on October 17, 2025, held in the love of her family. She will be remembered for her deep faith, generous spirit, and devotion as a wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Born on May 29, 1954, in Dodge City, Kansas, Ramona was a lifelong learner. She earned an Associate’s degree in Chemical Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in English. She dedicated many years of her career to BASF in Freeport, Texas, before answering a heartfelt call to ministry. After retiring, Ramona became an Elder in the Global Methodist Church, serving congregations in Oyster Creek and Conroe, Texas. She was immensely proud of her service to the church and touched many lives through her wisdom, compassion, and unwavering faith. She also found great joy in gardening and spending time outdoors, especially on walks and bike rides with her husband, Robert.
Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Joy Hustead, and her sister, Rhonda Desautels. She is survived by her beloved husband of 17 years, Robert Barr; her son, Nicolas Morrison, and his wife, Ginny; her stepsons, Robert Barr Jr. and Marcus Barr; and her sisters, Rene Hustead and Rebecca Ward. She also cherished her extended family — step-siblings Russell, David, Judy, and Joanne Hustead, and Barbara Conn — along with five grandchildren, one great-grandson, and many nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Ramona’s life will be held at Christ Church Methodist, 6363 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, on Friday, October 24, at 2:00 p.m.
